Meet the Team
John Menghini, Sr.

John currently serves as Chairman of Covenant Custom Homes and is one of the company’s founders. Prior to founding Covenant Custom Homes, John served as Chairman of Veritas Partners, a management company that owned and operated several businesses across a range of industries. Before that, John spent 23 years as President and Chief Executive Officer of Gear for Sports, a $200 million athletic apparel company located in Kansas City. John is also an owner in Terra Fina Properties which has successfully developed numerous residential communities throughout Johnson County since 1997. As Chairman of Covenant Homes, he lends strategic guidance to the management team and leads the firm on identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities. John attended Hofstra University in New York and received a degree in Business in 1972.
John Says "Perhaps, the last truly custom and creative endeavor left in America is custom home building. We start with a blank sheet of paper and end with a unique, personalized and well functioning home that will provide much more then mere shelter for generations to come. That means we get to touch the future in a meaningful way ever day."
Michael Menghini

Michael currently serves as President and is responsible for both the Speculative Home Division and Build Job Division of Covenant Custom Homes. He is also a partner in the company. Michael oversees the design and construction of all speculative homes both in Kansas City and at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Michael earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Dayton in 2002.
Michael Says " Our clients are quite demanding which is perfectly understandable and our trade partners have their demands as well. I spend my days right in the middle of an exciting and challenging tension and I love it. Bringing solutions, forging relationships and serving our clients are the reasons I can't wait to get to the job site every day."
Alicia Steinheider
Accounting Manager

Alicia currently serves as Accounting Manager for Covenant Custom Homes. Prior to joining Covenant Homes, Alicia worked as an auditor for BKD, LLP, a public accounting firm located in Kansas City. In her current position, Alicia is responsible for the financial management of the company. She oversees annual budgeting, monthly financial reporting and expense control. Alicia attended Kansas State University where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 2001 and a Masters degree in Accounting in 2002.
Ray Devore
Project Manager

Ray currently serves as a Project Manager for Covenant Custom Homes in the Speculative Home Division. Ray is a skilled carpenter and framer which allows him to bring a unique set of "hands on" skills to every project. Ray has been building and managing home construction project for more then 10 years.
Mike Stocks
Construction Services Manager
Mike has been in the home construction business since 1998 and manages the final stages of completion and new home delivery for each home. Mike also manages the cleanliness of our homes throughout the construction process to very exacting standards
